File Types

File Types are used to differentiate between different file formats (e.g. JPG, PDF, MOV, etc.) and to control how yeager handles these types of documents. yeager recognizes the most common types of documents automatically upon upload. Alternatively, the File Type can also be specified manually.

Among the most important properties of File Types is the File processor configuration, which controls the creation of File Views.


Specifies the name of the object
Defines a unique identifier for this File Type
File extensions
A comma separated list of file extensions used for auto-detecting a given File Type

Specifies the File processor which is used to process the Views of related Files
Specifies the abbreviation displayed in yeager for Files of that type
The Color that is used to display Files of the given File type
