File Views

File Views are variations of uploaded File documents that are created by yeager automatically upon upload, or later on demand. The File Views are created according to the File processor that is assigned to the given File Type.

A common and simple use case for a File view would be the creation of an automatically downscaled version of an uploaded image for use a thumbnail image. Depending on the processor configuration, creating a File view could also mean complex operations like video conversions or data analysis of office-document or database-files.

Setup and configuration of File Views, File processors and File Types is always application specific and therefore a responsibility of the website developer or -administrator.
